Following a proactive start to 2024, with strategic investment from Gresham House Ventures and the announcement of FJ Miller as its new chair, Azarc® can confirm the next stage of its growth strategy is underway, with two key new hires confirmed, expanding the senior leadership team in EMEA.

Working out of London, both Sam Clohesy and Richard King join Azarc®, bringing with them a wealth of industry experience that stands to further support the delivery of the business process automation company’s ambitious business goals for 2024.

Taking up the respective roles of Director of Operations and Director of Engineering, Sam and Rich bring immeasurable benefits to the table. From extensive management experience in high-tech delivery and global operations working among rapid growth scale-ups, especially SaaS businesses with high transaction volumes to boundless expertise in the technology space, nurturing teams and their expertise, Sam and Rich are undoubtedly a fantastic addition to the already world-class team.

Sam Clohesy, Azarc®’s new Director of Operations, said: “I’m excited to step into the role of Director of Operations at a company poised to revolutionize cross-border logistics with its cutting-edge automated customs clearance capabilities.

“Azarc® stands out not only for its innovative technology but also for its strong leadership, impressive client base, and solid product-market fit. Having previously supported and operationalized the scaling of hyper-growth businesses like 10x, 11:FS, and R/GA, I look forward to contributing to Azarc®’s growth and success in this rapidly evolving industry.”

Richard King, Azarc®’s new Director of Engineering, said: “Listening to Dave, Jono, Matt and Richard talk so passionately about solving the post-Brexit UK customs challenges and how the Verathread® platform can scale to solve those as well as similar problems globally was incredibly exciting for me.

“The company has an amazing product and a growing sales pipeline, so to be faced with the opportunity to bring my experience from scaling and operating products at large global organizations to the table is something I’m going to relish. Over the next few months, I’ll be working with the team to further streamline customer onboarding and provide post-implementation monitoring and support, all of which will be fundamental to our ongoing success.”

Strategic recruitment for EMEA has been a high priority for Azarc® Co-founders Dave Robbins and Jonathan Langley following investment from Gresham House. Not only to deliver on the GTM strategy and market presence but also to ensure robust day-to-day business foundations and operational rigour are in place to facilitate company growth.

Jonathan Langley, CTO, and Azarc® Co-founder, added: “I am thrilled to officially be able to welcome Rich to our team here at Azarc®. Rich has a wealth of experience and expertise in the technology space, most recently heading up technology at Pizza Hut in the UK. He is now joining the Azarc® mission to lead our growing engineering team, where he will – I have no doubt – utilize his expertise to help deliver world-class products to industry.”
