The last twelve months have been nothing short of transformative for Azarc®. A bold claim, maybe, but the milestones that have been achieved over the past year speak for themselves.
From the internal culture we have here to the user experience improvements that have been integrated into our automated customs clearance solution, Rune, and how the product’s capabilities have been tailored to focus on what is really important to our customers; 2024 has without doubt been one for the books.
Marked by strategic growth, ongoing dedication to innovate and automate customs clearance, and plenty of moments that shone a light on how brilliant the world-class team we have here is, here’s a look back at 2024:
Building a stronger team
It’s safe to say we started 2024 as we meant to carry on, by focusing on expanding our awesome team. January saw two key hires across Customer Success and Engineering announced, closely followed by three more hiring rounds during 2024, which saw our SLT, Sales, and Ops teams expand too, with an unrivalled wealth of experience, customer understanding, and innovative thinking added to the team.
As a business, we rely on their industry knowledge and insights every day, as do our customers, which is why investing in the team at Azarc is one we are incredibly passionate about. Internally too, ‘people-focused’ experts joined the team to ensure we are practicing what we preach and remain committed to our goals of nurturing a supportive internal culture.
Accelerating growth with strategic investments
As we headed to Manifest in February 2024, we had some exciting news to announce. Not only were we adding additional resources to our team to accelerate our growth, but we were also able to reveal that we had won the support of Gresham House Ventures, which was aimed at accelerating our growth and responding to increasing market demand. It was this strategic funding that empowered Azarc® to make innovative enhancements to our product this year and scale up our operations.
Award-winning innovation
April firmly put Rune in the spotlight, as it took the title of Best Customs Software System/Technology Solutions Provider of the Year at the ICC’s C4DTI Awards 2024. This recognition underscored the game-changing industry impact of Rune, a celebration that perhaps is even more prominent now following the continued refinement of the platform. Over the summer, efforts focussed on the events circuit, and taking Rune out to industry, a move that has seemingly paid off with customer onboarding surpassing expectations as the year comes to a close.
Tapping into our team’s expertise
With so much insight and experience on tap, this year saw the voices that make up Azarc® find their feet. The team has shared its expertise widely this year, publishing insights on critical topics and airing exactly how we as a team work differently from others in the industry.
AI, of course, was a huge point of discussion, and a good job too. It’s one of the areas where the team absolutely separates itself from the competition – harnessing AI to champion each customer’s in-house operations so they can put their teams first, champion employee development, and enhance human capabilities rather than replace them.
Looking ahead
As the year comes to a close, Azarc® is eager to build on everything 2024 has taught us. We’ve got some big plans for 2025, the first of which will be revealed in Vegas at Manifest 2025. But for now, the team has very much earned a rest and will be enjoying two weeks off over the festive holiday.
